Snorkling in Half Moon Cay

Hi all,

I will be in HMC on Saturday and I was doing some research on the snorkeling there. I was there 3 years ago and snorkeled out in front of the lounge chair area and that huge cabana at the end where the tenders come in and where the welcome center is.

I remembered there was not much going on there as far as fish and wildlife probably due to the gorgeous sugar white sand under the water.:p I know to see good stuff that you need a reef of some sort.

Now I noticed that there looks like a good place on the other side of where the tenders come in.

Can I go over there and has anyone snorkeled that area?

I included a pic to help you understand what I mean.

Robert

We went to HMC in August of last year and it was gorgeous. We rented a cabana and had a great time. My DH and brother in law decided to venture out and do some snorkeling. They walked alllllll the way to the end of the beach (where they do the horse excursion) and were able to see some neat stuff there. If you're looking out at the ocean from the cabanas where they went is all the way to the right.
