bananasforcruises Posted February 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2010 I just play slot machines. I'd like to know what type of slots are on the NCL Jewel? Do they have the video type of slots with the bonus rounds? Do they have penny slots? My favorite is jackpot party or the newer versions such as village people. Do they have any of them onboard? Does NCL have slot tournaments? How many rounds are usually in each tournament? Do you have to pay the fee for each round or just once? Do they charge a higher entrance fee during the summer months? This will be my first cruise on NCL in July. I've only been on one other cruise and it was on Princess. This time I would like to try a slot tournament but only if you pay once. Thanks for any info. I'm sorry, I don't have an answer to your first question, but from what I read in the "Freestyle Dailies" that I found online, in the past they have had slot tournaments for $15. I think they have 2 or 3 slot tournaments during the week. There is also a $15 (I believe) Blackjack tournament and a couple $60 No Limit Hold'em tournaments. Try Google image searching NCL Jewel dailies or jewel freestyle dailies if you would like to see the daily schedules. Why do you only play slot machines? They are the worst odds in any casino and they don't seem like much fun. The most entertaining thing I get out of them is watching the zombie-like slot players pull the handle (or press a button) as foam slowly falls from the corner of their mouths. Hi... I just got off the Jewel last week and you are in for a treat. The staff is wonderful! If you use room service ask for Ruby Calo she came to my cabin every morning on time and with enthusiasm. In the main dining room Tsar's ask for Aileen from the Philippines. She is a doll and wonderful! The slots were very tight on max bet. So better play one or two lower. The best luck I had was on the Tiki Torch machine in front of the bar. The one next to it, the Aztec machine also paid. I won 2500 total playing these two machines. I played 200 and 500 credits. Everytime I walked up to them I saw that someone else had cashed out for at least 250.00. I didn't see any jackpot party nor the village people. I could be wrong though. They did have quick hits that sucks your money.. so be careful there. Have a great time. I wish I was going back with you!
