IOS Deck 6 forward oceanview cabins-had one?

Recommended Posts

We're trying to select an oceanview cabin on IOS. Most cabins are booked, and we can't swing a balcony this time. My options for category H are on deck 3 (3548) or deck 6 (6208). 6208 looks interesting as faces the bow. We don't mind the motion, but wonder if it has a clear view. Any noise issues from Pyramid lounge below? Which cabin would you pick?

I brought back some phots of foward facing cabins deck 6 IOS. We stayed in 6208. The entrance to the cabin is located down a short private hallway, off the main drag. That was nice. The view for the window was nice, looking at an angle out over ther bow and port sides. Great light. Nice loveseat by the window. I liked the cabin, but would not recommend it to a light sleeper. There was an occassional metallic clanging noise that seemed to come from below. I believe it might be an exterior door to a crew area being slammed by person or wind. Happened intermittently day or night. Could disturb a light sleeper. Also more motion at the front.

Here is a pic of 6208.
