room service charge?

i have seen on another board that there is a charge for anything you purchase from room service? I understand if you want a soda or cocktail, but for food? boy, this is really strange.

There is no charge for room service (food) during the Caribbean cruises - they charge when in the MEd.

Not that we are ordering room service everyday on our cruise

but on occasion we do like to order a little something.

Room service menu is very limited,nornal to give a small tip

oh yes, we always do give a tip. I just thought it was strange when i read

about charging for room service since all the other lines we have been on

in the past didn't charge you for it.

Charging for room service is a 'European thing'.. quite a few of the European lines do and always have done. This is when it gets confusing for those lines which sail both ex US and Europe and change their policies to suit:)
