Cruise4Jesus Posted October 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2008 I have booked out first NCL cruise and have a question for anyone recently off the Dawn. I was wanting to find out which restaurants have a coverage charge. Is there any differeance in the main dining rooms besides decor. is there any that I might need to make early reservations for. Thank you for any information provided.
andychris Posted October 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2008 We were on the dawn in august. I hope that I can answer some of your questions. Cover charge restaurants were: Salsa, Lebistro, cagneys, impressions(the italian-I believe that was the name, and the two chinese/japanese/habatchi. We went to salsa's and cagney a couple of times during our trip. They were both excellent. As for the main "free" dining rooms, we went to venetian. It was very pretty, the food was alright. Order 2 entrees and you will be fine. THe portions were extremely small and I mean small. We did not go to aqua but heard that the decor was nicer in venetian. The menus were the same in both restaurants every night and changed everyday. We made our reservations in the am for dinner that evening and did not have any problem. We were a party of 8 also. smeyer418 Posted October 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2008 The portions are intentionally small. You get a seven course meal. You can have more than one appetizer and more than one main course. if you want a bigger portion just ask for two(or three) and they will get it for you.
