What songs are on your cruise cd?

I know this has been done before but it's always fun to see what everyone's taste are when it comes to music and cruiseing. I always have Elton John and Billy Joel on my cd to prepare for the piano bar. We usually spend most nights there on our cruises. Anyone else have any favorites?

I alwasy make a couple of compilation CD's before going on vacation. Some of my favorites are Sublime and Bob Marley. They always put me in a relaxed, ready-to-enjoy-myself mood!

I've never been to Eastern Or Southern Caribbean.

I have plenty of tunes for Western Caribbean, Pacific, Hawaii cruises...but, nothing for south and east of San Juan, PR.

Considering my next cruise is 14 days, perhaps I'll just take along my Tom Waits CDs, since I will be, you know, in oblivion town......

For our upcoming one in March 2005 Panama Canal, Summit....looking to burn the usual Caribbean stuff, but also some old favorites; 70s stuff, etc. Also some new age to play out on the balcony of the suite for at night...ahhh!!!!!:o

This isn't a CD, but if you have XM satellite radio, listen to the "Caliente" channel. It is perfect for pre-cruise festivities!

We also have t-shirts that have the Mariner of the Seas on the back and the date we are going. We have made flags to hang off of our balconies and door knob hangers. We each have a cruise journal that we have to fill out at the end of each day. 19 days till we set sail!!!!

I'm with you Cruisemeister8. I never have the time for that plus I really enjoy the good live music on board! I like to listen to reggae music before cruising! Puts me in the mood!;)

For the caribbian, and to get in the mood the proceeding days at work,

I like "music from the chocolate lands", and "music from the coffee lands"

Folk music from countries that produce chocolate, and coffee.

Includes caribbian islands...Cuba, St Marrten, Brazil, Belize, and Africa.

You will really enjoy the onspiration. DW and I have sailed her twice since 1998. She was our first cruise ever, and we had the time of our lives. Anyway...bring along your own compact CD player if you have one. If I remember correctly, they only have a TV and VCR in the room. I don't recollect if they provided the cabins with CD or Tape players.
