Does anyone decorate your door??

Recommended Posts

I have not yet decorated my door, but I leave on Thursday and there are 4 cabins side by side in our group. So I went out and got some decorations... beachy things, flip flop pictures and flower cut outs from the party store and some white sticky tack stuff and we will be decorating so we can find our rooms!

I'll post pictures when I return. :)

I have decorated the door for both of our Disney cruises. The kids loved it! I also decorated the doors when 18 women cruised for my grand-mother's 80th birthday. It was great because we knew where he others were.

Getting ready to take the kids on Carnival for the first time and plan on decorating. Does anyone know if the doors are metal? I always have used the magnetic printer paper in the past.

I decorate our door, it makes it so much easier to find your cabin (no not due to drinking) but all the doors in the corridor are alike so decoration helps( I did mine with flip flops, bucket and spade sunglasses etc.,) all from a party store. It is fun to do!

I will be decorating our door for the first time on this upcoming cruise in September since we will be on board for 12 days. I just never remembered before, even though I loved it when I saw that others had done that.

I am looking for something suitable now. Don't know if the DREAM will have magnetic doors or if I need to bring painters tape.

Yep! In fact, I won the Carnival Colors door decorating contest on my Glory cruise 2 weeks ago. I actually decorated my door and my mom's door across the hall.

My room:

My mom's room (with fingerpainted signs by my 3-year-old):

Does anyone know if the doors are magnetic? I want to decorate ours since we will be leaving on the 4th of July and have a small dry erase board that is magnectic. We are on the Glory!

Thanks!

Tam

Yes, the doors are metal, and the MagnaDoodle I had with the magnetic strips on the back stuck just fine. However, I would suggest that you also invest in the 3M poster hanger tabs so that your board doesn't fall off when the door slams shut.

I was going to ask this EXACT same question! Thanks for putting it up!

I remember seeing Cruise Critic signs with the passengers' on line names - thought it was great! I LOVE those fish LadyJag. Where did you find them?

Me thinks I'll be taking a trip to Party Central tomorrow for decorations! :D

Doors on the Sensation are magnetic and, funny story, we decorated our doors for the first time on our last cruise...really cute with magnets that stuck right on.

It was great to easily identify our two cabins by the decorations.

One night someone moved our door decorations down the hall a good ways and we tried and tried our keys over and over...finally we figured it out. We actually had to check to see which rooms were ours since we had become used to using the decorations to ID them!
