anaco_angler Posted September 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2009 We'll be calling at Gaspe' on the Eurodam on Sep. 29. The description of the various shore excursions to Perce' are fairly uninformative so I was wondering if anyone has visited there recently and if so, what recommendations you might have. Are Gaspe' and Perce' easily done on your own? HAL offers an excursion to Perce' which basically covers the bus trip to/from Gaspe' and then your on your own. Can you walk to see the gannet colony on Ile Bonaventure, or are there local boat tours to the colony and the rocks? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. wilsonqbc Posted September 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2009 its about a 45 - 1hr (max) drive to Perce. depending on traffic. here are many boat tours in Perce, You can see Gannets from the shore in Perce. diving into the water, But yes you do need to take a boat to see them closer. Its a nice pretty place. We used to be able to walk out to the Rock at low tide, am not too certain But I think they do not allow it anymore. You can buy fossils on the pier and in some of the shops.
