crischickie Posted September 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Miami used to allow people with handicap tags to park for free at the port. Does anyone know if that is still free?
CruisenGoddess Posted September 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2009 It was last November - I was wondering the same thing.
eandj Posted September 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2009 Miami used to allow people with handicap tags to park for free at the port. Does anyone know if that is still free? Call the port and get the specific requirements. They are cracking down on scammers.
crischickie Posted September 3, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 3, 2009 I did contact the port. You must complete a form when you check out (before you give your ticket). You have to have your handicap placard, proof of your exemption, photo id and the person exempt must be in the vehicle. There is no limit on the number of days. American Bear Posted February 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2014 As of Nov 2013, only vehicles with the Florida toll waiver because they are specially equipped will receive free parking! If you do not receive the toll waiver, but have a handicap placard, or handicap license, you will pay the same $20. a day as everyone else!
