Beginner diving

Were do we go to find a beginner diving course? Is diving recommended over snorkeling here? If snorkeling is just as good, then with whom?

Both are very good on Roatan. Check www.roatanet.com for links to most of the dive shops and snorkle places as well as other activities. If you want to try scuba you should either book a resort course (discover scuba) to see how you like it, or if you really want to scuba find a local shop and get certified before you go. There are lots of places on Roatan where you can snorkle- if you want a trail and guide I know that Bay Islands Beach Resort offers snorkle trips and they have a nice trail set up. I'm sure there are others as well
