mcnairtravel Posted September 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Does anyone know if there is a Fishing Excursion in Roatan? I really think my husband would like to do this versus any excursion Carnival is offering. Any tour companies or anything that offers this, Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jennifer
CruisingSoon88 Posted September 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Island Marketing has a combination excursion that includes fishing. We are going on our first cruise to Roatan in January so I can't personally tell you anything about it. I just remembered seeing it on their website. Roatanfans Posted September 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Early Bird Fishing Charters www.earlybirdfishingcharters.com is an independent operator who is wonderful. Captain Loren Monterosso was raised on the island and I'm sure he would customize a trip for your husband. He is totally trustworthy and speaks perfect English. Great guy who truly knows what he is doing.
Fishing_Guide Posted February 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2010 Early bird is a great option for deep sea charters - if your looking for a guide for bonefish and permit I would suggest http://www.pescadoroatan.com
Bugandi Posted March 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2010 I will be going next week and have a charter booked with Victor Bodden. I will let you know when I return how it was. I went with Bodden primarily because he was the only one that answered my emails. I initially tried to contact earlybird and a couple of others and no one ever responded.
Roses2 Posted March 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Avoid chartering with Island Dream. Last month after setting everything up on the internet they picked us up at Mahogany bay and drove us to West End -- Lo and behold -- no captain and no boat. To make a long story short, after much talk we were taken back to Mahogany Bay. No charge, no fishing, wasted day.
