Intercontinental Tampa

I am looking to stay here on 2/6/10 for one night . Any tips on bidding through either priceline or hotwire? TIA

I just recently got this hotel for $44 on priceline. It took about 6 weeks of bidding before it was finally accepted. I had originally booked a rate $89/night thru travelzoo and kept that as my back up while I patiently bid.

 

Since you are so far out, patience is what you need and keep checking the bidding websites where others post their wins so you know the dates/amounts that others are getting. Good luck ;)

Do you know the area I should choose on either site?

For the Intercontinental, it is in the WestShore area. Bid $50 for a 4 star and you have a good chance. The only other hotel of that caliber in Westshore is the Rennaisance. The other 4 stars are in Rocky Pt and downtown. Remember you cant pick your hotel with Priceline or Hotwire. Besides Don Shulas Steakhouse being in that location, why do you need the Intercontinental?
