Carnival Valor

My mom, sister, and I are planning a cruise in November on the Valor. We really want the empress deck, but it appears the only rooms left are 7404 and 7409. Those rooms are right across from the elevators and back stairs going up to Lido. We're worried about it being noisy there. Has anybody ever stayed in these rooms and can tell us what to expect?

My wife and I sailed on the Valor in 2005. While on the cruise we sat with a couple whos cabin was on deck 8 just forward of the rear elevators. They never said a thing about problems with noise. We have always had cabins right by the atrium elevators and haven't had any problems.
