Goldies Restaurant - Nassau

We'll be in Nassau in 2 weeks on a Sunday - ship (Glory) leaves Nassau at 2 p.m. Looking for some good conch - fritters and cracked. I've been reading here about a restaurant called Goldies. Is it near the pier and open on Sundays? We were at the Fish Fry in Arawak Cay last time - excellent conch and great prices - but they don't open until noon. If Goldies is not open or too far does anyone have any suggestions for some good conch within walking distance of the ship?

Goldies was open in Dec. when we were there. Don't know about the hours though. It is in Arawak Cay. There are several restaurants there including the fish fry. To me Goldies has the best conch and Richie the owner is a nice guy.

I saw a couple posts on here about a cafe within walking distance. You walk to Senor Frogs and keep going. It's across the street from the British Colonial Hilton. I don't know their hours though. I hope to eat there in November.

You're likely thinking of Conch Fritters. They have pretty good Conch Fritters. Not as good as many of the more "local" spots, but still good.

 

They also have cracked conch dishes, not sure how they taste, but I haven't heard any complaints. Personally, I find it hard to find really good cracked conch in the tourist area.
