Hallifax- questions concerning Peggys Cove and Public Gardens

We have booked the cobblestone trolley. Can you tell me a little about the public Garden which is on the trolley tour.

We were debating trying to book a private ride to Peggy's Cove. What is that like? DH cannot do extensive walking, and uses a cane. The brochure says it is beautiful, soI don't know if we should skip it...

The gardens are a formal Victorian garden covering a couple of city blocks. Here's a link to a site with info and pictures: http://www.halifaxpublicgardens.ca/

Peggy's Cove is a picturesque small fishing village. There is a lighthouse that sits on a very large area of granite rock. Might be hard to walk to the lighthouse itself but it can seen easily from the the village. Here is a link to web cam of the lighthouse: http://www.peggyscovewebcam.ca/live/
