Pirate Ship Tour Questions - Please help!

Has anyone been on the Pirate Extravaganza tour? It is not listed on my excursion list through the Carnival website but when I contacted the Brig Unicorn directly they said that they do have a contract for the Nov. 24th port day but it must be booked on the ship. They must meet a certain # of people who sign up for it. Carnival says to wait until we get on board. We really want to do the pirate ship but would also like to have a back up plan if it falls through.

Has anyone booked on the ship before? Have they ever cancelled it because of lack of participation?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and lower my stress level a little as my kids are bugging me everyday about it. :)

Thanks so much!
