zeppekitty Posted October 13, 2009 #127 Share Posted October 13, 2009 To all these people who have suggested that Carnival stop cutting corners...can you give some examples of what you are talking about? In this economy, everyone is cutting corners and sometimes a company has to make some tough decisions in order to continue to provide quality products. I am interested in what corners you think they should not have cut and what corners you are ok with. 1. Captain's party- no food or drinks, in fact no captain's party really, just $1 off drinks at all the bars.. 2. Dinner menus are not the same. Flat Iron steaks? Yuck. 3. Servers and Room Stewarts don't have the time to give you the personal service they used to because they're spread too thin. We didn't even get a towel animal every night on our last cruise 2 weeks ago. 4. Cutting of Platinum perks. 5. Bacon police. These are just a few I can think of and are IMHO. Please add more. I'm also not saying that I haven't enjoyed my cruises. We've been sailing on Carnival since 1986 and for the last few years 2x a year. We've always had a great time. It just seems things aren't the same.
