San Juan hotels

Would you stay at the Holiday Inn Express or the Sheraton Old San Juan?

Holiday Inn Express is $119 a night and the Sheraton is 84.50 through Hotel Plus.

I think most people like the Sheraton and for that price you can't beat it.

Sheraton Old San Juan is very convenient to pier 4 if that's where your ship is going to be. Also walking distance to great restaurants.

The Sheraton is the hotel that Princess uses. I'd go with that one just because of the proximity to the pier.

We stayed at the Sheraton when it was still the Wyndam. Great location

Ditto about the Sheraton. One warning:

If your stay is a Friday or Saturday night, you definitely need a FRONT room. The "music" noise from the casino/club is deafening.

It's a small combo using an extremely loud electronic boom-beat amplifier. It permeates the back rooms of the hotel.

 

Or just stay in the casino until the combo wraps up for the night! :D

We stayed at the Sheraton Old S.J. a few weeks ago, pre-cruise, and it was a great location in the heart of Old S.J.minutes from the pier. They also have a great pool on the roof top, overlooking the whole city. Food was expensive in the restaurants, and they also had a casino on the main floor. Rooms are large and beds were extremely comfortable. We would definately stay there again. We paid $90/night on hotel plus portal. Just looked it up for Feb/10 and the price is hiked up to $179/night.:eek:
