Name of ship - RCCL Mexico 1994

My guess would be the Viking Serenade. She was a very nice ship with a good crew. Her name was just a little silly. I will always remember her as the MV Stardancer.

I was on the inaugural when she was the Stardancer out of NY to the Bahamas, very long time ago.

Yep, definitely the Viking Serenade! I did the 4-day from LA in August 1995. If I dare say so (fear of flaming), this was my least favorite cruise out of about 20 at the time. It was also my first RCCL cruise. However, my 2006 Jewel cruise more than made up for the VS!!

We had done 14 cruises on other lines.

I won a free cruise on the Viking Serenade in a Newspaper contest in 1998. So, living in Las Vegas, we went and we loved it. The Royal Caribbean crew was so great that it became the Cruise line of our choice.

We are still with RCCL 13 cruises later.

Here is a photo of the Viking Serenade. She used to call on San Diego as well.

I have fond memories (of this former car ferry!). I was invited to a Travel Agent appreciation cruise and took my little sister. It was her very first cruise and our first 'real' vacation together and we had a wonderful time. :)

Oh my, my very first cruise was on Viking Serenade in May 1995.

I fell in love with cruising and since them always wish to recapture a part of that. I cried at the end of the cruise. One on the bartenders was an old classmate of mine from Jamaica. I hadn't seen him in 20 years. I remember feeling so lucky, because everyone I met had waited so long before enjoying their first cruise. Sapphire Princess came close to reminding me of that experience. A beautiful ship, with wonderful people, taking me to amazing places, no huge add-ons. I wore a church dress on formal night and can't rememeber feeling more special. I am falling in-love all over again;)

It was before I had kids and Sapphire Princess was our only vacation without the kids. That might have something to do with it :-)
