What an irresponsible thing to say. You are no better!! Lumping all smokers into a group of people who are inconsiderate and who don't care. Who are you to judge? I agree that those particular smokers who insinuate their habit upon others are very bad, but you should not make such a blanket statement.

Unbelievable!

I don't smoke, but I know for a fact that there are plenty who do and they ARE considerate of those who don't.

I fully agree!

Smoking is proven to kill people. If you play Russian roulette long enough, it will kill you too.

If considerate smokers did a better job of policing the inconsiderate ones, there would be less need to lump them together and place more and more restrictions on the whole stinking lot of them.

Yes, the 'lumping' of people is just ridiculous here....

A couple of days is an exaggeration. There are still several places outdoors under cover. I tend to book inside cabins and I dont smoke in them to be mindful to the guests to follow. Non-smokers don't put my health at risk so I don't see why they should be mindful of my smoking. P.S. I know what this discussion is about.

Where in all of this did I say non smokers should be mindful of smokers?

my POINT is that you made a reckless statement and that is not COOL. You can't have a jolly ole time ranting and raving your self silly if you want, just don't be ridiculous about it...if that's possible.

you think smokers should police others? wow....wow.... talk about thick in the head.

I'm not as smart as you think.

Why don't you spell it out Bob...oh I'm sorry, I'm confusing you with someone else.

my apologies...after reading your response here..I take it back...you don't seem very smart at all. :D

The discussion is NOT about waiting hours to have a cigarette. Some posters want smoking banned in balcony, staterooms, casino, and piano room. Are you willing to wait a couple of days? Most of us have said over and over that we don't care about the casino. We only want ONE room.

Please give the same advice of being mindful to the non-smokers. Everyone should be mindful of others.

I'm not sure how else this could be perceived. Did you mean "Please give the same advice of being mindful of the non-smokers."?

Being mindful of non-smokers right to breath clean air is the point I was trying to make. I think we are thinking along the same lines. We just both mis-understood the wording in our posts.

Smoking is what is NOT COOL.

I'm quite happy to support legislation confining smoking to Hades.

So after reading this thread I really am confused! I have only sailed once before, NCL and smoking was allowed in your cabin, aft, and port side I believe. We will hopefully be sailing on Carnival Spirit in Nov. My question is; can you smoke in your cabin and where else on the ship?

Noooooooo. I meant that both smokers and non smokers should be mindful of all others not that non smokers should be mindful of smokers. That wouldn't make any sense..lol.

NO, what is NOT COOL is your blatant and irrational comment about lumping people who smoke into a category of people who don't care and are inconsiderate. You will never get it...you are so bent on venting your anti-smoking venom that you make an awful statement like that. I see you for what you are...period.

BTW - who gives a hoot what legislation you support. That is for another forum.

Danger or not, considerate or not, I simply don't like the smell....

hurts my (blue/sensitive) eyes....it smells...nasty

I don't care what smokers do tucked away in some places just for them

I don't care if they have a bar, a big bar "just for them"....a deck area

or even a seperate casino

just keep them away from me

I think the new rules and use of space that Carnival is trying on Dream will be a huge step in the right direction...and I hope it soon extends to the whole fleet
