Istanbul New District at night

Can anyone tell me if the shops on Caddesi Istiklal are open in the evenings? Or is it just the bars and restaurants? We will be in Istanbul Nov 2-4.

Yes shops are open in the early evening

Yes the shops are usually open til about 9-10pm on Istiklal Avenue in Taksim which is the new city center/downtown, so you will still be able to shop then. Not to mention all the bars and restaurants :)
