NOLA port info...we will be dropped off, where do we go? Porters to take our bags?

I've cruised out of New Orleans 3 times. When you pull into the port area, depending on what time you get there, there may be a line of cars waiting to get into the dropoff/pickup area. There should be police/security guards all around...tell one of them you are dropping off and they'll direct you where to go.

Once you get to the pier, there will be porters available at the drop off area, so that shouldn't be a problem. And, it's not a long walk to the check-in area.

Hope that helps, and have a great cruise.

As you approach the terminal, stay in the left lane. The right lane is for parking.

We learned this the hard way.

The left lane is for through traffic on Port of New Orlean Place road. The right lane is for turning into the terminal for the pickup area. You are not allowed to park in the right lane however the taxis have taken it upon themselves to use this for a staging area. So stay in the left lane and then cut over.

If you look at the photo, the far yellow sign is where you will turn into the building. Once in this area, you want to get in the left area for drop off. The right area is for pick-up.
