POA A Pleasant Surprise!

We were on the 12/26 cruise out of Honolulu. After reading all the negative messages about the POA I was expecting the worse. However, it was a great cruise. The crew was very, very helpful and friendly. The food was above average for the regular restaurants, and, the service was excellent. The cafe food was like most cruise ships, fine, but, not great. The specialty restaurants had excellent food, but, the service was slow.

 

The cabins were a bit small, but, adequate. We had enough space for our clothes. Bring you OWN SOAP BARS!! The have dispensors for liquid soap and shampoo in the showers.

 

Our over all experience was very good. Worth the trip. Do not fear taking the POA. They have really shaped up!!!!!!!!!!!:)

It is so nice to hear that you enjoyed yourself and that the on-board experience was a good one.

I would love to sail Hawaii myself some day in the not-too-distant future. What would you say was the highlight of the trip?

Liz did a great job on reviewing the cruise on 12/26. We met and had talked about the trip. The Big Island has such great diversity. I would stay for a week in the Big Island.

 

Maui is also great.

Julie, honestly my husband and I LOVED Maui Big Island was too commercial. It did have two Volcanos and the Volcanos National Park.

 

Maui seemed a dream it did have a Volcano and Black sand Beaches, The Road to Hana, sweet towns full of Art Shops and little stores, A crater under the sea to snorkel, and WHALES lots of wonderous Whales and so much more.

 

The important thing is to GO to Hawaii and decided for yourself.
