cmdknw Posted October 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2009 So we're going in Jan. Any clue on what the best excursion/excursions would be for a 30 year old male, 27 year old female and 6 year old boy would be? We are all adventure freaks and know we want to do something with snorkeling. No clue what the best would be though! Any ideas? I'm so confused! TheWog Posted October 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2009 I saw your post over on the Jamaica board and part of my suggestion there would be GC is much better for snorkeling. Stingray City is a must and you can group it with snorkel stops. Nativeway and Captain Marvin's are two local operators who will take good care of you. They have a Ray, Reed and Rum Point tour that includes lunch and transportation. You can visit Stingray City and play with the stingrays. Snorkel a couple of times and then enjoy lunch onthe beach. Pretty reasonably priced as well. http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/tours.htm
Caribbean Sunsets Posted October 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Here's another vote for Nativeway's RRR Tour. You can check out their webiste at nativewaywatersports dot com.
Kim.cc Posted October 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2009 I've never been on native way so I can't compare but we really had a great tour on the Buccaneer Catamaran. It was a really nice boat with a great captain for a really good price. We'd do it again for sure:)
capncarp Posted October 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2009 We took an indie operator tour but still the answer would be the same--stingrays all the way!
GinDon Posted October 15, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 15, 2009 Absolutely do Stingray City! It's unlike anything else you will ever do. There are several good tour operators that you can book independently for this. We used Moby Dick. If you do a Google search, he has a great website. CasinoQueen Posted October 29, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Go to visit the stingrays. This is a must for the Grand Caymen. And if you can go visit the turtle Farm. Even if you have to visit these via a cruise ship excursion......they are FUN :)
