hotel choice

I know that neither of these are great choices but wich is best La Quinta in plantation fl or airport regency in Miami? We are leaving out of Miami Jan. 31 and need a hotel an Jan30.

Hi Susan, Are you flying into FLL or Mia? I ask because Plantation is in the Fort Lauderdale area. Also, is there a reason why it is either or these hotels?

I am flying into Ft Lauderdale. Best prices at that time.

So much depends on your travel plans. Are you arriving early or late, renting a car, planning to use a hotel shuttle and a limo service, etc. etc.

 

If you are flying in fairly early and plan to rent a car then go with the Plantation hotel and drop the rental in the Miami area.

 

I wouldn't bother with the airport Regency. You can probably find comparable prices at better located hotels.

 

Do a search on this site and get the info on rental car drop off fees. Some of the chains are charging a hefty fee, others are not.

 

There are also some hints on here for using Priceline to get the best rate in the best location. FLL airport or something close to the Port of Miami.

What part of VA, I'm a transplant from the Richmond area?

We don't have air at this time . Were not going out of the hotel except to get dinner. I live in Suffolk Va about 11/2 hr from Richmond.

We are planning to use a transfer service.
