Lago mar resort/ft.laurderdale

Has anyone stayed there?Looks like a nice place for pre cruise.I need to know if there is shopping(cvs/ food store) with in walking.We will be staying there oct 24 for one night before are cruise.Thanks

Lago Mar is the nicest hotel in Ft Lauderdale. Gorgeous ocean front setting, footsteps from the beach, a short beach walk to the inlet where you can watch the ships arrive and depart from. The only regret you'll have is that you didn't stay longer. ;)

We have stayed there a couple of times post cruise.It really is a great place to stay. We will be going back next March following our Equinox cruise. It is however a bit far from any shopping. We walked to the Water Taxi stop about 1 mile away and picked up our things in town. The walk is not bad and the area is clean and safe.
