Current Taxi Fare to/from Orient Beach

Could someone who has been to St. Maarten recently give me a current price for a taxi to/from Orient beach/cruise port? Is it still $6 with 6 or more passengers? How much time does it take to get back in the late afternoon?

As far as I know these rates are still in effect:

$18 total for two traveling alone, one way, down to $6 per person with a group of 6 or more, assembled at the taxi dispatch area.

Hey folks.. Last I went the rate was based on how full the taxi was. I think it wasn't too long to get back to the ship from Orient at the end of the day, maybe 30 minutes?

 

We were very pleased with our last trip, the van driver left us off at le String and said he'd be back at 2:00. We walked around, but took his advice, as le string was excellent. The owner is from Maryland and was very personable. The driver was back on time and very helpful.
