Tampa Movie Theatre ??

We are sailing Nov. 22, '09. We are arriving in Tampa on the 20th and going to Busch Gardens on the 20th & 21st. After the park closes, my dd's want to see the movie "New Moon" which opens on the 20th. We are staying at Sailport Suites in Rocky Point. We will have our car with us, where would be a good place for us to go to find a movie theatre for them and an nice place for my DH and I to walk around?

You might consider the Channelside complex - it's right where the cruise terminals are located. They have a nice theatre (I think it's 6 screens), along with a number of restaurants, night clubs, shops, etc. There is also a courtyard where they usually have some live entertainment (typically someone playing accoustical guitar & singing or something similar) where you can sit, have a drink, and enjoy the weather (assuming it's nice out, which it typically is at that time of year).

I'll second the Channelside. They also have an IMAX theater there. Restaurants galore! And the Aquarium as well as an old Victory Ship that you can tour. Very nice.

 

Also, ask this question of the hotel concierge. They will be able to help you. Make sure you get GPS in your car as Tampa's downtown can be a bear with all the one way and dead ends.
