Jost Van Dyke

Will be on the Oasis of the Seas and there is an excursion to Jost Van Dyke. Has anyone ever been there. Need some feedback.

Never been on an excursion there, but did Jost last summer when were stayed in St John for a week. We were going to go to a couple palces on Jost, but found the Soggy Dollar and never left. Great burger and amazing painkillers.

White Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to! Incredibly clear water, and soft, white sand. Very laid back, although its not quite as quiet as it once was (the secret is out!), as boaters flock there these days. Still, its nothing like some of the more crowded beaches most of the cruisers got to in STT. There are several neat shops, bars and restaurants, with the Soggy Dollar being the most famous.

Though its not a swimming beach, the next bay over, Great Bay, is also neat, and has the famous Foxy's Bar. On the beach, good food, and Foxy himself is sometimes there singing and telling jokes. He's a real character.

If you're looking for a laid back day on a gorgeous Caribbean beach, I would highly recommend going... Jost is a fabulous place!

JVD is the classic "Jimmy Buffet" Island. Lay Back, Beautiful and High Proof!

If you want to hang out at a beach bar snorkle and just exit the rat race for a day. There is no place better than JVD.

Come to think of it JVD is the exact opposite of the Oasis of the Seas. It might be the perfect excusion as a counter point to the Oasis.

This is exactly what I was thinking! If you want to get away from all the people and activity on the Oasis for awhile, I can't think of a better way to do it.
