will the Valor still stop in Roatan ?

Due to fighting in the news in Honduras (election there on 11/29/09) and US Dept of state issuing warning on 10/20/09 of travelling there ..does anyone know if Carnival Valor will still be stopping there (in Roatan)? I am going on the Valor 11/22/09.

I would monitor Carnivals site for announcements.

 

They continued to visit Mexico after similar warnings were issued.

Asked for a response, a Carnival spokesman said, "Roatan, which is located in the Bay Islands, approximately 30 miles from the Central American coastline, continues to be an exceptionally popular port of call for cruise lines. Roatan is an island off the Honduran coast and is pretty isolated from the mainland politics. Carnival's new cruise facility at Mahogany Bay is scheduled to open mid November, so I would be surprised if they didn't go there.

They have to recoup the cost of the ski lift somehow.
