Disney brings water coaster to Dream

I think there are alot of misconceptions about disney cruises. First, they are NOTHING like disney world, a totally different experience. Second, I havent been on my RCI cruise yet, but judging from other people's pictures, there are way more kids running around on RCI cruises. And there are just as many adult only areas on disney (including an adults only area on Castaway Cay). In fact, many people on our Disney Cruise were travelling without kids.

As far as cost, the nice thing to us about the Disney ships, we can all fit in one inside stateroom. On RCI we have to get two. I'll easily spend a few hundred more overall for a Disney cruise. As I said, I havent done RCI yet, so the verdict is still out on if its something I'd do again.

The new ship looks amazing but not for me.....Disney prices are too high and I love my quarter slots!! If I want Disney, I'll go to Disney World which I LOVE !!!

 

 

Heck, if you deduct all that you would lose in the casino, you could have put that into a Disney cruise!

I'm still up in the air on doing a Disney cruise at some point, but that water slide is indeed amazing. Never seen anything like it, that alone made me want to go!

Looks great! Yes DCL's more expensive so only cruise when they have kids sails free offer ... really makes a big difference. And the fact that it doesn't have a casino, there are lots of kids and lots of Mickey are exactly the reasons why we'll be going.

Ship looks cool, but like others - no casino, no thanks. Could never understand the 'no casino, but bingo & alcohol are ok' philosophy but Disney's ships stay full so who am I to say...;)

Nope, not me....no highroller here. I put an occasional $20 bill in a quarter machine and when its done, that's it, I'm done.

Looks interesting but I'm sure I will not be willing to pay what Disney will charge to sail on her.

 

I thought the same thing but once I checked out the prices, I found that they are lower than the prices on the 2010 sailings so I went ahead and booked it! August 2011 for my 5th Disney Cruise and that will make me a Gold Castaway Club Member. We just completed our 5th RCCL cruise in August too. Cool!

Considering that the Dream will spend 9 1/2 hours in Nassau, I think I can get the gambling component on one of their cruises. I booked my first DCL cruise on the Dream yesterday. The price per day for a party of 2 was cheaper than comparable accomodations on the Oasis for the same dates. For 2, it was maybe 10% more than smaller accomodations on the Freedom for the year before. For 4, the Dream came out 10% cheaper than the Freedom.
