bas7 Posted November 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I'm sailing on the Dec 6th departure on Carnival's Miracle. I've taken this ship, and the same itinerary back in March of 2008. However, I wasn't lucky enough to be in a room with a balcony, 1st time, and it's an Aft Room 8270. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on aft rooms. I recently read a post, and the passenger's feedback was that their balcony was filled with soot. Has anyone heard of this, or had a similar experience. I'm so excited about this room that the soot really couldn't ruin my trip, other than I do have asthma, and that I am concerned about. I called Carnival and got a very nice agent, and she told me that that shouldn't be a problem. Would sure like some objective opinions. Any feedback would be appreciated.Thanks.BruceHAL - Volendam-10 Day Southern Caribbean Wayfarer, DEC 2005HAL - Zuiderdam-7 Day Eastern Caribbean, APR 2006CARNIVAL - Miracle-8 Day Southern Caribbean, MAR 2008NCL - Norwegian Dawn-13 Day Southern Caribbean, NOV 2008BOOKED ON:Carnival - MIRACLE-8 NIGHT Southern Caribbean, DEC 2009
USBRIT Posted February 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2010 We are going on our 11th Carnival cruise on the Miracle Nov 3 2010. We previously sailed on the Miracle Dec 2008 and up to January this year we considered it our most disappointing cruise experience. However, after spending a week on the "Ship from Hell" The MSC POESIA we realized that although our last Carnival Miracle cruise was not as enjoyable as the others it was light years ahead of the MSC Cruise and we booked for November on the Miracle last night. We had an aft balcony cabin on our last Miracle cruise and had one on our Freedom cruise. They are great generally slightly larger than a normal cabin with the advantage that you can see the Port and Starboard sides of the ship from your balcony at the same time. My wife also likes the fact that you get the sun for most of the day on most days. Enjoy your cruise and be thankful you are going on Carnival. I have learned my lesson and will never go with another cruise line. Better the devil you know etc.
