Take a short hike through the jungle to the cave entrance, where you will be guided through the fascinating trails throughout the cave. St. Herman's Cave is of great archaeological interest; it was used by the Maya during the Classic Period of their reign, and evidence of their presence can still be found. At the entrance of the cave, you will climb down steps that were originally carved out of the earth by Mayan people. Explore the outstanding rock formations while venturing further into the cave, and wade through the cool shallow streams of this subterranean wonder. Next you will venture to the Blue Hole National Park, where you will enjoy lunch, before taking a quick dip in a natural sapphire spring found in the middle of the Belizian jungle.
