Looking for information regarding Viking Fontane...

Has anyone sailed on Viking's Fontane? I'm considering a week-long cruise from Nuremberg to Trier and would love to hear other's reviews and comments regarding this vessel and this itinerary.

We did that cruise in October 2008. The cruise itinerary and cruise directors were great. The ship (cabins,food and dining room noise level) needed improvement. Can't comment on other Viking ships but we will not cruise on the Fontane again.

There having to many issues. We just got back from the legend. we had a stop in Nuremberg, Germany. This was a place that they let us off which my wife and I refused to do for safety reason. No mention of the stop or an apology for the inconvenience. The boxes were put out after 20 or so passengers got off and people compiling. But you think the ship would have announced a change or an apology. Don't bother bringing your lap top. It's worthless. Sorry to inform you. There the biggest operator but the poorest run.

Thanks so much for your reply. I was afraid that the cabins and dining room would not be the best and you confirmed it. I really like the itinerary but Gate 1 Travel is offering something similar and, having sailed from Budapest to Nuremberg with them earlier this year, I know their product and would not hesitate to sail with them again.
