Explorer46 Posted November 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2009 Have to decide whether to bring my Nikon digital SLR and big bag or my Canon point and shot for this trip to Puerta Vallerta, Cabo and Matalan. Zip lining not conducive to large (or amy) camera but not sure about rest of trip. Any spectacular views for a ultra wide angle or 18-200 zoom? Any ancient ruins to shoot? What are the cities of Cabo and Puerta Vallarta like for photography? Who has been on the trip before? Sailing on the Splendor Dec. 13.

What are the cities of Cabo and Puerta Vallarta like for photography? Who has been on the trip before? Sailing on the Splendor Dec. 13. Here are links to a couple of our Mexican Riviera trips. I'd vote for both rather than either/or. http://www.pbase.com/pierce324/mexico_2005 http://www.pbase.com/pierce324/mexico2004 http://www.pbase.com/pierce324/mexico2009 Sometimes the best camera is two (or three!) cameras! cruisetobeaches Posted November 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2009 Another vote for both! I always take both. The DSLR isn't taken everywhere, but the P&S is ALWAYS in my pocket. You never know when a great photo op willl come up!
TheRoff Posted November 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2009 I will third "both." And an assortment of lens from very wide to the 200 mm is perfect. And here are my photos from similar trips.
