apnep Posted March 17, 2010 #51 Share Posted March 17, 2010 You could also get some walkie-talkies too. You'd be right across from each other, though I don't know if you'd hear any interference at night that might disturb your sleep. Seriously, I wouldn't worry. Enjoy your trip! swissfamily Posted March 17, 2010 #52 Share Posted March 17, 2010 I have let kids nap across the hall using a baby monitor. It has less static noise than a walkie talkie and lets you hear what is going on. On our next cruise we've book two cabins side by side (but not connecting) and will have one adult in each to sleep but will hang in one with a monitor if someone is napping. I know it is a controversial topic and everyone has different opinions but I think there is a certain age that I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving all night. A lot of kids sleep very soundly and there is no guarantee an older child would wake if a younger one were opening the door. Just my two cents and what I think would work best for my family.
