I just went to Dillards and got two formal dresses for $29.99 each! These were in the junior's department, but they also have gowns on sale in the misses. This will be my first cruise and I am so excited to go! Here is a link to show you what one of the dresses looks like:

That is where I got my dress too!..Exactly like you described..in the same area and everything. I got a floor legnth black satin halter neckline gown..has pink embroidered flowers that sort or spiral all the way around the dress..from neckline to floor. It was a $160 dress..got it for $29:D :D Gotta love that! BTW if you need to have it altered..I don't know about your Dillards there...but ours offeres VERY cheap alterations if the clothing was purchased from Dillards. I need to have the side seems taken in a bit and it costs $10.

Thanks for the Dillards alteration info. I asked the girl in the juniors department if they did alterations and she said, "uh, I don't think so." I don't think she really knew the answer. I will have to ask sombody else there, maybe they do have a tailor at ours. Thanks!

I think I know what dress you are talking about. I wanted to try it on but they didn't have it in my size. Its really cute!

I purchased my dresses at Dillard's as well. One was $29.99 the other $69.99

Also in the juniors dept. Went back and purchased the most beautiful sexy gown that I have ever seen! Half price it was $190.00.Some designer label, so not a bad deal. I already have 2 but as I see it this one is my motivator.... I have to get in excellent shape to wear it...definately form fitting.

Dillard's is the best!
