Bringing alcohol through Port of Mobile

While I know the consequences for bringing your own alcohol, I am wondering if anyone has been successful in bringing alcohol through the port of Mobile. I am considering a cruise from there and would like to know. Usually cruise for New Orleans and have not had an ounce of trouble there. Thanks for your help.

I don't know about bringing onto the ship, but there is a thread on the Carnival board today about being stopped at customs and having to pay duty on a case of Crown coming off the ship.
