ballinafad Posted December 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2009 I just called this hotel and they charge $12 for a day pass which includes all chairs, umbrellas, use of pool and all amenities. Has anyone purchased this or do you just show up and use the beach? Travelling on Valor next week with 3 early teens. Thanks in advance.
kat228 Posted December 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Did you find the answer to this? I'd be curious to know as well
bonzijam Posted December 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2009 I would like to know too about the Marriott. Let us know if you had success with these 'day passes'.

stefanny28 Posted February 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Which Marriott are you talking about? because there are 2 in Cayman Island and one of them is not directly on the beach. Can you give me their phone number so I can call too. Thanks
sigmahawk Posted February 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2010 If I remember...the beach on this Marriott resort is not really a big one. If i was a person booked into that resort for a few days or so...I would be upset if they sold out to the cruise ship visitors.
jennib5426 Posted February 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2010 I am staying at the beach front Marriott resort next week for vacation. I asked if they let cruise people use there resort before I booked and they said no. No offense but I hope they do not let cruise people have day passes, the resort is not very big. Almost Packed Posted February 18, 2010 #9 Share Posted February 18, 2010 i know we took a shuttle to marriot beach (so i was told) the actual hotel was across the street. on the beachfront side, there was a small bar/cafe and small beach area. for the $5 fee we gave to the shuttle driver, we got one free drink and a ride to the beach. this shuttle/operator was just waiting there at the tender pier. TheWog Posted February 18, 2010 #10 Share Posted February 18, 2010 If it is Courtyard by Marriott then you do not need the pass. The hotel is on the other side of the street from the beach and no need to go over there. There are chairs and umbrellas (for rent) and a beach bar with restrooms, food, drinks, outdoor shower, water sports rentals and taxi stand. Free access to the beach. No need for a pass. krsb09 Posted February 18, 2010 #11 Share Posted February 18, 2010 FYI, the Courtyard Marriott closed last year due to hurricane damage. We're staying at the Seven Mile Marriott in a couple weeks, and we were also told that they do not allow cruise passengers to use their chairs, umbrellas, pool, etc. As jennib mentioned, the beach there is tiny. I would like more info on this, was the shuttle operator just standing there with a sign with the price? Did you get to use beach chairs and umbrellas? Did they come back to take you back to the pier? Thank you for the info I would like to do this too.
