Wildlife Adventure Tour in Belize question

Anyone familiar with the Wildlife Adventure Tour in Belize? (Offered by Royal Caribbean)

The excursion states, “Take a motor-launch ride up the OldBelizeRiver for 20 miles.” What type of boat is a “motor-launch”? Is it on the small side? If so, do they have life vests?

I don't swim so I'm concerned about the stability of this so called "motor-launch". Obviously, it refers to a boat with a motor,:p but can anyone tell me more about it.

Thank you,

Suzy B

Yes, we did the wildlife adventure tour. The motor-launch ride is just a boat. The one we took was like a big speed boat. You won't need to know how to swim - the river has crocs, so I'm sure they wouldn't let you jump in even if you wanted to.

The tour was fun - it let us see more of Belize than we would have been able to otherwise. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit long.

You may want to check out to see if the country is still on strike though. Our tour guide had told us about the possibility of a stirke (we were there 1/19) and I was just forwarded an AP article that confirmed they are now on strike.
