Hotel near San Juan, PR pier

I will be cruising on the AOS out of San Juan, PR and would like to know if there is a hotel that is within walking distance of the piers?

The Sheraton Old San Juan is just across the street. I got a rate of $119 for an upcoming pre-cruise stay.

There isn't a hotel within walking distance of the Pan American Pier which is where the AOS docks. You will have to take a taxi to the pier. We stayed at the Caribe Hilton for the AOS and the Marriott for the Serenade.

Not within walking distance either but check out 'el canario by the sea', looks like a cool place, got great reviews and right on the beach.

Nothing is walkable with luggage. We stayed at the Caribe also and took a very short cab rise to the pier.

The Caribe Hilton and the Wyndham Condado are the two closest hotel to the Pan American pier where the AOS docks. You will still need a taxi, about $10 plus baggage tips. I have stayed at both and either are good for pre and post cruise stays. Got the Caribe Hilton in 2003 via Priceline for $65 and the Wyndham via a Wyndham "72 hour sale" for $80/night. in 2004.

We sailed out of SJ in October and the PA Pier is not within walking distance of anything. We satyed in Condada at the Radisson. We got it on Priceline for $75/night. Condado is a nice part of SJ and safe. The cab ride cost about $10.
