Need beer and lunch for sportfishing

We have just booked an independent sportfishing day with Johann and Sandra for our day in Mazatlan. They said to bring lunches and beer with us for the day and they will pick us up at the cruise ship. Sooooooo, how do we buy beer after we get off the ship but before we get on the fishing boat? I recall a patio of shops that you have to pass through when you disembark. Anyone know if there is a liquor store or sandwich shop handy? We are sailing on Princess and people have posted it is ok to bring beer aboard - should we just pack a case for the fishing trip? Any suggestions?

Seems J&S will stop for you to pick up what you like (you could email them and ask). We have seen these Jack's and Durado about the same size many times in the winter in Mazatlan (pic was taken last feb in Mazatlan)
