Euros

Any purchase you make on board the Royal Clipper will be charged to you in Euros. That said, you don't need to have any actual Euros with you on board. You will be issued a cabin card so any spending on the ship will be charged to your credit card in Euros. Items like tours, bar bill, tips, etc. are paid for at the end of the cruise. As you will be in the Caribbean, dollars should suffice. As a word of advice, carry lots of dollar bills to handle small purchases, tips, etc. on shore. Getting small bills can be difficult from on shore banks which often charge high fees, have odd hours and/or long lines. The pursor on the Star Clipper carries very little cash and cannot generally change more that about $5 to ones.
