Camera buying

Boolchands is a large varied camera store that has a branch at the pier as well as on Front Street. There are other smaller stores scattered around Front Street.

Check the pricing on the web before your trip and remember there is no sales tax on the island.

<<edit>> saw your home as the UK - St. Martin should be cheaper. No VAT.

We were on St. Maarten last week and went into Boolchands, but didn't buy anything this time. We did however buy 2 cameras at Boolchands on St. Thomas a couple of years ago and got excellent prices. I was looking for a Toshiba Netbook this time and they didn't have any (said they were sold out).
