Marigot beach-St. Lucia

Yes, it can be accessed by taxi, and is located about a 15minute+ drive (depending on the taxi driver) from Castries where your ship docks.

The beach is nice and shallow, water is warm and there is a bar at the hotel on the north side of the bay where you can purchase food and refreshments.

Castries is no joy to roam in but St Lucia is a truly beautiful port of call when you get out of town and so enjoy your time there.

Ciao for now!!!

We've always gone to Marigot BAY - don't think it's the same place! Long taxi ride, little Huckleberry Finn - type ferry across a pond, small beach with a lot of seaweed, great hotel, restaurant, and bar! Once on a "regular" cruise (Celebrity), and four times by dinghy from a schooner. Close to the Pitons. St. Lucia isn't known for its beaches. The Jalousie Hilton resort (so I was told when I booked clients there) imported tons of sand sand to make the beach "useable". St. Lucia is full of scenery and history. Hope you enjoy it!
