gvi Posted December 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2009 Can anyone tell me where would be the best vantage point to see an anchor on Oasis? I have an extremely inquisitive 6 year old who is very intent on seeing the anchor when we sail in February. (He even asked for one like it in his letter to Santa this year! However, he will not be getting one. LOL!):p Thank you!

My suggestion is to ask the Engineer - that is, have your son ask the engineer. He may take you on a brief tour. Good luck and happy holidays :)
gvi Posted December 23, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted December 23, 2009 Thank you Petel. I had planned to try and find someone who would be willing to at least answer a few of his questions. Any ideas where or who to start asking? If nothing else I can always take him to the platinum/diamond event and ask some of the staff there. . . On some ships you can see an anchor from the pier when docked. Does anyone have an photos yet? It is amazing how "focused" small children can be. . .He wants to be a ship builder when he grows up! comfortguard Posted December 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2009 It's not a very good one of the anchor but it's all I could find in my files Eugene
gvi Posted December 24, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted December 24, 2009 I really appreciate the effort. My son is excited that this is similar to other ships. I know our first order of buisiness will be trying to get our eyes on that! Thank goodness for all the pictures and videos - he is just obsessed! I know our first order of buisiness will be trying to get our eyes on that! Thank goodness for all the pictures and videos - he is just obsessed! The best time to see the anchor is while in port. When the ship is tied to the pier, you should be able to get pretty doggone close to the bow of the ship and see the anchor. I must be a kid too, because it is neat to see the bulbous bow of these ships as well as the anchor. The suggestion made earlier to get your son to ask the Engineer is definitely something I would try. Good Luck! ----------------------- Sea ya!
