Fantasy Review for 12/19/2009 Sailing

Can anyone post a review of the Fantasy trip for 12/19/2009. Thanks. I am interested in this cruise next month.

while I can't comment on the cruise you requested, I can tell you that we have cruised the Fantasy several times. Most recent was last January on a B2B and we are doing it again in just a couple weeks.

 

Fantasy is a great ship and the crew has always been top notch.

Loved the ship, hated our cabin. We chose to upgrade to a Verandah cabin, V-5. While this part of the ship is very centrally located and just above the Lido deck, it is also directly under the gym. Our cabin, V-5, is directly under weight machines in the gym and we heard loud, VERY LOUD, banging sounds all day long. From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., it sounded like weights were being dropped above our head. I had visitors from the Guest Services on several occasions but nothing was done about this terribly annoying problem.

 

The food was great. The service was terrific in the bars, in the casino (even won $100), in the dining room, in the spa and in the cabin. The only show we saw was the Tribute to the Beatles and we really enjoyed that as well. We changed our dining option from the late sitting to Dine any time and liked that option a lot. The cruise director, Risa, was very friendly and the weather was nice but, could have been warmer.

Thanks for your review and letting us know about your cabin. I was originally thinking about booking the Verandah cabin V-? on the Fantasy and now I have to re-think this due to your review. I would love the GS but will have to go to one of the Ocean View rooms. Now I have to find out which deck and which room is a good location on the Fantasy. Any suggestions?
