Hallstone Posted December 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2009 Can anyone say if Wifi is available on any Fred Olsen ship, in particular Balmoral, as I am sure there will be a few people on board who will bring their own laptops. Also is there room under the beds in the superior outside cabins to store the cases - we have a fair amount of luggage with doing the full world cruise and three of our cases are large hard shell type. Many thanks
WhiteStar Posted December 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2009 No wifi on any Fred Olsen ship. You will need to use the internet room and swipe your card. The Balmoral has a lot of room to store your luggage under your bed and in the closets. I sailed on the ship 12 times as the Crown Odyssey and on the maiden voyage as the Balmoral. merecat Posted December 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2009 No WIFI on Freds. ships and you can only use the PCs in the computer room. The connection is also slow ,due to the poor band width offered by the satellite used. As for suitcases ,we found some cases would go under the bed ,if you put them in the wardrobe you cant hang clothes properly, however your cabin steward-ess will take your cases and store them for you. So perhaps keep one small case in the cabin for items needed and the others in the storage. Have a lovely cruise ,Balmoral is a nice ship.:)
