Progresso independent tour operators- help in planning

We will be on the Triumph sailing on the Jan. 4th . Have been reading about independent tour operators in Progresso like Auto progresso. Has anyone taken a tour with them recently? and can we just book with them when we arrive in port- since we don't have much time left now. Someone mentioned that ewe could just sign up when we get there. Also which tour is better- Uxmal or Dzbi....... Some input will be valuable and welcome.

By all means, Uxmal. More impressive, prettier and way less crowded. Also less time on a bus.

Auto Progreso is a class outfit. Very reliable and priced right. OP you will see the Auto Progreso reps around the pier area and can book directly with them. They will give you a wrist band and tell you what time to meet the bus to go on your tour. Between DZ and Uxmal, Usmal is for sure the best to go to. But DZ is definetly worth visiting sometime. Have a great cruise.
