2cruzall Posted December 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2009 Has anyone taken a tour of the Pirates of the Caribbean filming location sites on the island? Could you recommend your tour company/driver? TIA!!!
CRUISERTN Posted January 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2010 I think the site where the movie was filmed is in the opposite direction as most of the other sights that are visited. You could email Beno at Beno Nature Tours (www.benonaturetours.com ) and ask him for a customized tour. Tell him where you want to go and what you want to do and he will respond with a price quote. Best email to reach him is bnpascal@gmail.com Have used him before, and some of our friends have as well (in addition to many on this board), and he comes highly recommended. Dominica is a BEAUTIFUL island.
ladybugg_456 Posted January 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2010 Hi 2cruzall, We're going to be in Dominica in February and are planning on booking with Levi Baron, Bumpiing Tours. They have lot's of different tours, but one does include the POTC sites. I emailed him for advice and he was so prompt and very friendly. You can also add snorkeling at Champagne Reef to this one and we're probably going to do that. (There's another thread here that has nothing but rave reviews of this tour operator). My cousin just came back from the same cruise and booked an excursion through Carnival and they went to some sites on that tour too. The tour was called Hot Springs Escape. When you get into Dominica you can arrange with a taxi driver to take you to any of the site areas. You may choose which area you would like to visit. One of the site area is up North at Vielle Case ( several of the black pearl and the old church scene), the Indian river the (swamp scene), Hamstead bay (waterwheel fight scene), Down south at Soufriere(the cannibal village & rose bridge scenes), and the north east coast the Londonderry river better kown as cabana area (black sand beach scenes.)
